Looking for something for your children to do this week?

Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District has a number of events scheduled through the end of summer break at our facilities in French Valley, Hemet, Menifee, San Jacinto, Valle Vista and Winchester.

All activities are for children 17 and younger, except for the Aquatic Center and Movies in the Park. Activities are free, unless indicated. Some have age ranges as listed. See the full schedule on our website, GoRecreation.org.

Basketball open gym: July 13-16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* SAN JACINTO (Michael Paul Gymnasium):

Art Workshop: July 13

Basketball open gym: July 13, 14, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Volleyball open gym: July 15, 12:30-2:30 p.m.

* VALLE VISTA COMMUNITY CENTER:

Free throw contest: July 14, 10 a.m.

Water Play Day: July 16, 11 a.m.

* WINCHESTER (Francis Domenigoni Community Center):

Basketball Camp: July 14-16

* DIAMOND VALLEY AQUATIC CENTER:

Open swimming is available daily. 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. 12:30 to p.m. weekends. $2-$10

Lap Swim for adults, every Sunday, 11 a.m. to noon, $2.

Hot Wednesday Nights, July 15, 5:30-7:30 p.m., $2-$7

AM Family Swim, July 18, 10 a.m.-noon, $2-$7

* MOVIE IN THE PARK:

“Zootopia 2,” July 17 at Larry Minor Regional Park, San Jacinto. Part of Valley-Wide’s birthday Bash, which begins at 6 p.m.

GOAT, July 17 at Wheatfield Park, Menifee. The movie starts when it gets dark.
