Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District has a number of events scheduled through the end of summer break at our recreation centers. All activities are for children 17 and younger, except for the Aquatic Center and Movies in the Park. Activities are free, unless indicated. Some have age ranges as listed. 

* FRENCH VALLEY (Rancho Bella Vista Community Center):

Basketball open gym: June 29, July 1

Volleyball open gym: June 30, July 2

Sessions for grades Pre-K to sixth grade from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and seventh through 12th grades (12:30 to 3 p.m.).

* MENIFEE

(Marion V. Ashley Community Center):

Basketball open gym: June 29-July 2, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(Menifee Gym)

Volleyball open gym: June 29-July 2, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Basketball Camp registration is open. The camp will be July 14-16, Age 6-10 from 9-11 a.m., age 11-15, Noon-2 p.m. Registration deadline is July 9.

* SAN JACINTO (Michael Paul Gymnasium):

Basketball open gym: June 29, July 1, 11 a.m., 2 p.m.

Volleyball open gym, June 30, July 2, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

* WINCHESTER (Francis Domenigoni Community Center):

Volleyball open gym, June 29-July 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Camp registration is underway at the facility or at GoRecreation.org.

Basketball Camp: July 14-16. Ages 6-10 9-11 a.m., ages 11-15, noon-2 p.m. Registration deadline is July 9.

Volleyball camp: July 21-23, Ages 6-10 9-11 a.m., ages 11-15, noon-2 p.m. Registration deadline is July 16.

Arts/Crafts/Water Days: DYI Slime Making, July 28. 11 a.m. Paper Airplane Contest, July 29 11 a.m. Water balloon Toss, July 30. 11 a.m.

* DIAMOND VALLEY AQUATIC CENTER:

Open swimming is available daily. 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. 12:30 to p.m. weekends. $2-$10

Lap Swim for adults, every Sunday, 11 a.m. to noon, $2.

Hot Wednesday Nights, July 1, 5:30-7:30 p.m., $2-$7
