Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District has a number of events scheduled through the end of summer break at our recreation centers. All activities are for children 17 and younger, except for the Aquatic Center and Movies in the Park. Activities are free, unless indicated. Some have age ranges as listed.

This week's activities (June 14-21)

* FRENCH VALLEY (Rancho Bella Vista Community Center):

Volleyball open gym June 15, 17, 19.

Basketball open gym June 16, 18.

Sessions for grades Pre-K to sixth grade from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and seventh through 12th grades (12:30 to 3 p.m.).

* MENIFEE (Marion V. Ashley Community Center):

Open Gym Basketball: June 15-18, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* SAN JACINTO (Michael Paul Gymnasium):

Volleyball Camp, June 15, 17, 19.

Youth volleyball open gym, June 16, 18. 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Pinewood Derby registration deadline, June 17. The activity is June 23 and 26, $10 per child, ages 7 to 17.

* VALLE VISTA COMMUNITY CENTER:

Youth Bingo, June 17, 10 a.m.

* WINCHESTER (Francis Domenigoni Community Center):

Youth volleyball open gym, June 15 to 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

* DIAMOND VALLEY AQUATIC CENTER:

Open swimming is available daily. 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. 12:30 p.m. weekends. $2-$10

Lap Swim for adults, every Sunday, 11 a.m. to noon, $2.

AM Family Swim, June 20, 10 a.m. to noon, $2-$7.

* MOVIE IN THE PARK:

“Zootopia 2,” June 19 at Wheatfield Park in Menifee.
